AAHSSL, TISCA and TAPPS
RCBA high school swimmers compete under three separate organizations - Alamo Area High School Swim League (AAHSSL), Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA), and TAPPS. Junior high students compete in the spring and participate in a statewide middle school championship.
- AAHSSL serves as an umbrella organization for both public and private San Antonio area high schools involved in competitive swimming. The league organizes the high schools based on historical strength and then schedules teams of similar strength in dual, tri, quad, etc. meets in the fall.
- TISCA sponsors a single regional meet for elite swimmers from across the state of Texas to participate here in San Antonio. Difficult qualification standards make this the fastest high school swim meet of the year in our area.
- TAPPS holds a North and South Regional Championship meet in the early part of the year at varying locations throughout the state. Regional champions and qualifiers meet for the TAPPS State Championships - the culmination of the High School swim season for the Soldiers. RCBA competes in TAPPS Division III which encompasses 1A, 2A and 3A size schools.
- The Burnet Independent School district sponsors a middle school championship in the spring for 7th and 8th graders.
